This is a cross-post for an early out from the BVTC Long Warm up. We will do the car shuttle and accompany the long hikers until between the BCSP Scout Camp and Thompson Bridge. We will then return to Hawk Watch via Thompson Bridge. This is a shuttle hike. We will meet at Hawk Watch and shuttle to Peter’s Rock (Officially known as first State National Historical Park- Smith Bridge Picnic Area) . From Peter’s Rock, the planned route is through FSNP, BCSP, Alapocas SP, and finishing at Hawk Watch. Participants can hike at their own pace or hike with the leader (~3 mph). Bring water, snacks, and lunch. Expect well worn trails with roots and rocks, hills, and a couple of crossings.
